Weighbridge Operative

Salary: £14.4 per hour

We are recruiting for an experienced Weighbridge operative to work for one of our reputable clients within the Barry area, South Wales.

The ideal candidate must have previous experience within the transport & logistics sector and have an excellent track record with IT/Admin skills. Experience with a weighbridge is not needed as training will be given, however it would be an advantage if you have this.

You will be required to weigh vehicles in/out of site, issue of loading and handing delivery notes/tickets to the drivers, loading and delivery ticket reconciliation to ensure quality and legal compliance is met as well as updating of loading board.

Candidates will be aiding and assisting the planning teams aswell as raising/amending customers orders within SAP/FP & VAS IT systems. Other duties include, logging product returns, answering customers/drivers calls and updating/logging customer out of hours board and assisting with drivers hours.

Working hours are on a rotating shift basis and are 10 hours. The shifts that are expected to work are:

04:00-14:00. 08:00-18:00, 14:00-00:00 and 06:00-16:00 on a Saturday.

You will be required to work a Saturday (or Sunday) every few weeks so you must be able to commit to this.

Candidates must have transport as there is no access to site via public transport.

This position is long term and ongoing for the right candidate. You will be entitled to weekly pay, holiday pay, online access to payslips and pension contributions.
