Reporting into the Logistics Director, we’re looking for an experienced, motivated, and passionate Transport Manager to join our leadership team based at one of our regional depots located in Godmanchester.
You will have responsibility for our Southern fleet of vehicles ensuring total compliance to all driver rules and regulations. You will conduct regular audits, provide infringement feedback with opportunities to learn, provide KPIs on vehicle compliance, maintain and create relationships with local suppliers for fleet maintenance, monitor and intervene in driver compliance and ensure operator’s licence is fully maintained and accurate.
You will be required to travel to Head Office in Heanor, at least monthly to attend transport department meetings.
To be successful for this role, you will be comfortable at getting your sleeves rolled up and getting stuck in – this is a critical role to the business ensuring the depot and staff in which you are based and the vehicles you are responsible for are compliant without exception.
The interview process for this role will be two stage – an initial TEAMS call and then an on site presentation at the local depot. The presentation will be based around your research of the company and how you will approach the role short, mid and long term.
Who are we looking for:
Transport Manager CPC Qualification
At least 5 years’ experience in a fast-moving company with responsibility for a sizeable fleet
Experience and knowledge of logistical planning
At least 5 years’ experience of interpreting and applying compliance legislation
