Package: Basic annual salary up to £28,000 (dependent on experience) plus bonus & flexible benefits package including up to 27 days holiday (Plus additional annual leave purchasing scheme)
Hours: 45 across Monday-Friday Only (8am-6pm)

The Warehouse Team Leader role
The warehouse team leader will be an integral part of our local logistics team, taking a hands-on approach to carrying out key duties whilst leading by example and supervising a shift of 4-6 warehouse staff. Daily duties include driving forklift trucks (reach & counterbalance). Our warehouse team work 45 hours a week across Monday to Friday whereby the working hours for this role shall be 8:00am-6:00pm.

Warehouse Team Leader Key Duties
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, key duties and responsibilities of the role include:

  • Giving instruction to and supervising performance of warehouse colleagues to ensure tasks are completed effectively and within required timescales
  • Receive, inspect and unload supplier deliveries
  • Pick, load and dispatch goods
  • Receive and process customer/supplier returns
  • Support stock-taking activities
  • Dealing direct with customers both in person & via telephone, ensuring high standards of customer service at all times.
  • Ensuring paperwork is processed onto the system accurately and timely

Do you have the correct profile
Firstly, you must be an experienced warehouse operative in your own right, with valid forklift truck licences in reach & counterbalance (training on one licence could be provided if needed). Ideally you will already have enjoyed some experience of supervising a small team of warehouse staff and understand what it takes to provide guidance, support and get the best out of a team. It is imperative that you have a strong work-ethic with a flexible ‘can do’ attitude. Also crucial is a strong customer-focus with the ability to interact positively with our customers. First and foremost you will be an able and dependable warehouse operative in your own right, enthusiastic, not afraid to get your hands dirty, but also able to set a strong example and motivate others to do a good job.
