Warehouse Shift Leader

We are looking for a warehouse team leader to join a well-known growing retail company. The successful candidate will:

Skills

* Will manage a large team across varied shifts
* Will demonstrate strong health and safety skills and attention to detail
* Monitor the progress of daily activities on the warehouse floor and communicate to shift manager of any shortfalls in labour capacity
* Ensure team are focused on daily workload and that targets/deadlines and KPI are completed and met within budget
* Deal with staff issues in their absence, attendance, performance and conduct etc
* Assist in ensuring safe working practises are in operation in the warehouse for their staff
* Ensure that team are focused in working towards achieving business strategic initiatives
* Daily management of the team leaders workload & responsibilities
* Daily management of our consumable account
* Daily management of our labour provider account

Key Measures:

* To achieve and maintain daily targets/KPI’s within respective department
* Provide evidence of workload achieved
* Assist team Leader with staffing administration including HR policies compliances (investigation, appraisals, disciplinary, CIP process…)
* To drive positive changes through continuous improvement program, like driving performance for a more cost effective KPI and ways of working
* To understand budget controls and to ensure that all areas of our cost base are reviewed so we get the best value for every pound we spend, ensuring that we exceed our expectations/budget
