Warehouse Returns Administrator / Operative

£19,300

New Basford (they have parking and also 5 mins walk from a tram stop)

9am – 5.30pm – Monday to Friday

 

Overview:

Our creative client is well established, expanding and friendly. They are experts in their field who truly value their staff.

This role will join their inventory returns team who processes incoming goods returns into the business. Returns can be generated from many areas, such as contract returns, unwanted and faulty goods, cancelled orders and product repairs.

The role is based in the warehouse but it is heavily administration based, dealing with customer and contract returns and supporting the inventory team with stock movements. It will involve manual handling for receiving and re-locating stock.

About You:

  • One years’ experience in a warehouse, stock, Inventory or quality environment
  • Use of computerised inventory management systems.
  • Knowledge of current health and safety in the workplace legislation including use of PPE and manual handling.
  • Understanding of IT industry or fast-moving consumer or manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
  • This role will involve a high degree of manual work

Other Skills & Qualities:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Keen eye for detail and adherence to record keeping processes.
  • Ability to understand the financial impact of returning goods to a supplier.
  • Ability to work effectively in a pressurized environment.
  • Team player and ability to be flexible on workload is essential.
  • Microsoft Excel knowledge preferred and ability to learn other IT systems

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that returned stock is booked in and checked for completeness. Liaise with technical team to ensure systems are cleansed (physically and technically as appropriate) and that packaging is suitable for re-use.
  • Ensuring missing items are reported and investigated with appropriate actions put in place to mitigate loss to the business.
  • Process requests from the business for returns tasks such as remote location stock movements enquiries around warranty entitlement.
  • Booking in parts received from supplier to deal with customer repairs.
  • Returning parts to supplier that have been registered for return by our engineers/customer support teams.
  • Assist the Procurement team with processing of returned stock, liaising with suppliers
  • Communicating with our wider supply chain to handle returns for credit/replacement/repair, for DOA, in warranty/out of warranty requests.
  • Supporting the wider warehouse and sales teams in order to ensure stock file accuracy, particularly in respect of customer owned stock.
  • Processing loan and rental orders for customers as required.
  • Assist with special warehouse projects such as exceptional customer orders or configuration projects as required.
  • Generating stock codes for specific requirements.
  • Responding to email enquiries.
  • Maintaining a good sense of general housekeeping within the warehouse area.
  • Support the wider inventory team and warehouse operations manager when required.
  • Ensure compliance to security, health and safety and regulatory procedures at all times
