Warehouse / Production Operator

The Warehouse/Production Operator role is responsible for performing tasks associated with the movement of materials both into, within and onward from our site. They are expected to work in a minimum of two functional areas plus perform additional support roles within the department in accordance with team plan.

Key Responsibilities:

To contribute to meeting objectives in safety, quality, customer service and cost
To operate warehouse mechanical handling equipment (MHE), e.g., highracker, counterbalance and ride-on pedestrian trucks as appropriate, in accordance with established safety procedures
To utilise SAP (Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing) during material movements to follow -businesses processes and thus maintain stock control
To perform all equipment checks to ensure the safe operation of equipment. To ensure direct working area is audit ready and compliant at all times in line with GSK policies and procedures, legal requirements and regulations e.g., health and safety at work, aviation security
To complete both electronic and paperwork documentation in an accurate and timely manner to meet internal and external customer requirements and deadlines
To carry out all cleaning activities specified in area SOPs and standard work
To work flexibly in accordance with functional area schedules which are subject to changes in demand and priorities
To perform additional support roles within the Warehouse department, as agreed with the individual’s manager in accordance with the Warehouse team planSuccessful candidates will be required to sit a verbal, numerical and mechanical multiple choice test as the first stage of the recruitment process.
