Warehouse Person

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Person to join a family run janitorial, wash-room and waste company. Based in Bristol, the successful Warehouse Person will earn an annual salary of £26,000depending on experience.

The Warehouse Person role for this family-run business will be varied and busy. As a Warehouse Person your main duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to: 

– Putting away stock
– Picking orders ready to be delivered by the company`s van drivers or collected for couriers
– Taking in delivers with fork lift
– Booking stock in and out on computer system
– Maintaining a tidy warehouse
– Servicing customers at trade counter
– On occasions, answering phone to take orders
– Maintaining stock levels
– Placing orders with the company`s suppliers
– Collecting stock from 1 or 2 of the company`s suppliers
– General help in sales office when particularly busy
– Future job progression will include covering delivery driver holidays, and dispenser installations

To be considered for the Warehouse Person position you must have the following key skills and experience:

– Good communication skills
– Self-motivated, with the ability to work as part of a team, or own your own
– Must be a practically minded, hands on person
– Handwriting must be legible
– Willing to learn new skills and have a logical approach to work
– Computer skills are essential including Word, and Outlook
– Clean driver`s license and forklift license
– Physically fit

Additional Information: Position will be permanent full-time after initial probation period of 6 months, working week is Monday-Friday 8.30 to 5.00, overtime may be required at busy periods, own transport is needed.
