Our client Aldi is one of the fastest growing Supermarkets in the World. We have vacancies for Temporary to Permanent Warehouse Operatives to work in the fresh produce department on nights at the new Regional Distribution Centre in Goldthorpe.

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for selecting products accurately and efficiently.

Your duties will include:

Selecting products accurately and efficiently ensuring care in the handling and positioning of stock to minimise damage and optimise pallet height/ stability.
Achieving the set picking targets.
Ensuring completed pallets are secured and clearly marked with the correct store number and placed in the correct dispatch lane.
Carry out all paperwork duties accurately.
Ensuring products are selected safely to avoid personal injury to yourself or stock loss to the company by following manual handling procedures.
Operating the Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) in a safe and efficient manner, reporting any faults to the Maintenance Manager and ensuring the trucks are put on charge supply at the end of the shift.
Ensuring the workplace is kept clean and tidy and ensuring all spillages/ breakages are cleared immediately.To be considered for the role of Warehouse Operative, you must have:

Own Transport
Strong attention to detail.
Good numeracy and literacy skills.
Be physically fit.Although not essential, previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous to your application.

Opportunities available include working days to suit:

Positions are offered on a 12 week temporary to permanent basis and you will transfer to permanent payroll with Aldi on week 13.
Contracts are full time, working 5 out of 7 days, which includes working on weekends.
The working hours start from 5pm. You will need to be flexible to work on a shift rota basis.
Contracts are a guaranteed 25 hours per year although you will work an average of 35-40 hours per week.Salary: s are £26,000per year temporary increasing to £26,000 per year once permanent.
