Warehouse Operative / Forklift Truck Driver

Our client is a leading international premium consumer brands group which manufactures and distributes some of the best known and loved kitchen appliances and interior furnishings in the world. Continuing to build on their expansive customer base across the globe, our client are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative/Forklift Truck Driver to join their distribution facility on a temporary – permanent basis.

The Role:

You will be responsible for working closely with the existing team to deliver efficient, safe and accurate handling of stock, whilst delivering high quality service to all customers.

The Main Duties of his Role will involve:

* Undertaking receipt and checking of incoming stock in line with company goods in processes, ensuring all are labelled appropriately and product is correctly located within the warehouse
* Picking customer orders as per operating processes, undertaking al necessary controls and making available for dispatch
* Dispatching outgoing orders in line with processes paying particular attention to detail to ensure accurate picking and dispatch
* Assisting with 6 monthly stock takes and any regular spot stock takes as required
* Undertaking forklift truck duties as required, ensuring daily safety checks are conducted thoroughly and company warehouse guidelines observed
* Undertaking physical tasks such as manually unloading containers from oversees suppliers
* Ensuring all stock is stored, handled and transported securely and health and safety guidelines are completed
* Providing a professional, courteous and efficient service to all delivery drivers and customers and consumers who deliver and collect from site
* Working with team colleagues to ensure the workplace environment is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness, and complies with company and legislative standards at all times
* Ensuring all company safety and quality systems are followed and all relevant legislation complied with, raising concerns and reporting any incidents or suggestions to your line manager
* Supporting and assisting newly appointed or less experienced colleagues by providing training and guidance as appropriate
* Performing any other duties that may fit into the remit of this role as and when required

The Ideal Candidate Will:

* Be qualified and competent to operate a Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Truck
* Possess a good standard of numeracy and literacy
* Have a good understanding of, and commitment to, safe working practices
* Have good communication skills and a customer focus
* Have previous warehouse experience
* Possess a good level of IT competence, specifically Microsoft Office
* Possess a full clean driving licence

Working Hours:

This position works on weekly rotating shifts, totalling 39 hours per week.

1:

Monday: 6:00am – 1:00pm

Tuesday – Friday: 6:00am – 2:00pm

Week 2:

Monday: 1:00pm – 8:00pm

Tuesday – Friday: 1:00pm – 9:00pm
