Warehouse Operative / Driver

Salary: £26,000 per year

Our successful Wirral based client is seeking a Warehouse Operative/ Driver to join their busy team. They offer a friendly professional office environment including free on site secure parking, with an annual salary of £26,000per yearr, regular hours will be Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm, with additional overtime required on as and when basis and time for annual stock take over one weekend per year. plus 20 days holiday and 1 additional day after every 12 months up to 25 days in addition to all the public bank holiday

In this role, the successful candidate must hold a valid Full UK driving licence, counterbalance and reach truck licences. Candidate should be flexible, highly organised and capable of performing tasks to a high standard. This is a responsible role requiring a high level of attention of detail. Supporting the Warehouse Supervisor and working together closely, this exciting opportunity requires a hands-on, efficient and professional approach.

Duties
The majority of the role will be to assist within the warehouse with occasional delivery driving required used a long wheel base commercial van
• Driving reach truck and counterbalance forklift trucks
• Receiving and checking of goods inward
• Picking orders
• Despatching goods outward
• Checking goods outward
• Checking for damaged stock and reporting any damage to the Warehouse Supervisor
• Health and Safety Management
• Ensure warehouses and yards are maintained and presentable on a daily basis
• Maintain stock areas ensuring all stock is stored and secured in the correct location
• Assist with regular stock takes of all products and communicate restocking needs to the team
• Additional duties as requested by management
• Completing regular checks on forklift trucks
• Be an active member of the team

Experience and Skills
• Valid reach truck, counterbalance forklift truck and Full UK driving licences (Min 1 year required)
• Experience in driving commercial vans
• Previous experience and knowledge in a warehouse environment (Min 1 year required)
• Motivated and driven
• A good team player with initiative
• Excellent housekeeping skills and taking pride in work environment
• Driven with a positive “can do” attitude
• Highly organised and capable of performing tasks to a very high standard, whilst maintaining excellent levels of accuracy
