WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE – GENEROUS BENEFITS PACKAGE

An exciting opportunity to join our client, a well-established business who are well known for their quality products and excellent customer care along with being a great employer to work for. Their offices are based on the outskirts of Wakefield and within easy reach of the motorway networks.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our clients warehousing team. The role will involve picking & packing products for our customers deliveries and preparing the associated paperwork for the couriers, as well as offloading and loading deliveries. It’s a fast-paced environment with a variety of customers all with different needs.
In return, client is offering a competitive basic salary and excellent working hours.
of work are Monday to Thursday 8am – 4.30pm and Friday 8am – 3.30pm.

WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE – JOB DESCRIPTION

• Offloading containers and vehicles by hand or by forklift.
• Checking goods received correctly to the Goods received notes.
• Undertake movement of stocks within the warehouse in preparation inbound or outbound stock.
• Prepare deliveries out according to the pick noted provided and the customers requirements.
• Accurate stock checking/counting/preparation.
• Loading customer deliveries whether by hand or by forklift, checking stocks loaded correctly to customer paperwork provided.
• Utilisation of customer IT systems for download of daily internet orders and subsequent picking/despatch and upkeep of customer IT system.
• Pack single pair shoes order for courier delivery.
• Book collections with couriers and organise the necessary paperwork.
• Ensuring all tasks undertaken are completed following the companies H&S procedures.
• Ensure all lifting follows manual handling guidelines.
• Being able to work flexibly on different tasks each day.

WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE – PERSON SPECIFICATION

• Fork lift truck license would be desirable but not essential.
• Experienced in inwards and outwards warehouse deliveries.
• Experienced with the paperwork procedures on all dispatches and receipts.
• Remedial work experience.
• Manual handling experience
• A good working knowledge of the following: MS Excel, Word
• Minimum of GCSE Grade A*-C in Maths and English
