Warehouse Operative

IETG Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Warehouse Operative to join its growing team in Leeds. The successful applicant will receive £26,000 per year + Benefits.

We are a leading multi-disciplinary support services company operating within the water and wastewater industries across the UK and globally, specialising in flow monitoring, drainage services and drainage network management.

Due to our continued growth, we are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative. You will have the opportunity to be part of a specialist company involved in delivering a high class data service to water companies across the UK and globally.

We ensure that the survey data that we collect through our installed devices in the waste water network is of an excellent quality for us to issue to our Clients.

Key responsibilities for the Warehouse Operative role are:

– Comply with the relevant Company Health and Safety Policy provisions

– Comply with current COSSH Legislation

– Comply with workplace organisation guidelines

– Take part in workplace assessments as required

– Hold dialogue with site crews to ensure they are aware of current initiatives

– Providing efficient support to Stores Manager

– Minimise excess stock/RTM’s

– Liaise with the Purchasing when dealing with supplier issues/shortages

– Assist in projects, as required

– Provide reports as required

– Receive and process incoming goods/materials in a timely manner both physical and on systems

– Ensure materials are to the required specification

– Ensure materials are received in the correct quantities

– Be responsible for the safe storage of incoming materials.

– Utilise space within the store/ yard area efficiently

To be considered for the Warehouse Operative role you will need to have the following skills and attributes:

– Detailed knowledge of stores operations

– Full Driving Licence

– Counterbalance Fork Lift truck licence

– Environment awareness

– IT skills – Excel and Word awareness

– Literacy and numeracy

– Oral communication skills

– Interpersonal skills

– Time management

– Problems solving skills

– Stock control

– Ensure all goods/materials issues are controlled and authorised by the appropriate manager

– No authorisation paperwork no material, no exceptions

– Maintain a secure issue regime to prevent any goods/materials being taken by unauthorised personnel
