Warehouse Operative

Salary: £26,000 per year

Due to a bulging order book my client is seeking an additional experienced Reach Truck licence holder Warehouse Operative who can load/unload vehicles, accurately book in and put components away, pick parts to fulfil production line orders, keep a tidy work area and ensure deadlines are met.

If you enjoy being part of a very busy team supporting an expanding engineering manufacturing business you should relish the challenge of working at a fast pace and be physically fit due to the nature of the role, there will be some heavy lifting involved.

Warehouse Operative – you’ll need these skills and qualities:

* A valid Reach Truck Licence is a must and a valid counterbalance forklift licence beneficial

* Team player who can step up to pace quickly, have a focussed work ethic, is flexible, can meet deadlines yet work accurately as production is ramped up

* IT skills and able to use tablets and smart phones for e.g. stock management

* Experience in an engineering production environment preferred

* Work on your own initiative, have good communication skills and be able to juggle regular tasks in between those urgent and important tasks that always crop up, including stock takes

* Due to the nature of the role there will be lifting involved of up to 15 kg

* Full UK driving licence to deliver or collect parts from suppliers if and when required

Warehouse Operative – this is what you will be doing:

* Accurate and timely picking of parts and components for production, engineering, fabrication and customers

* Processing goods in and out then updating the electronic ERP system – training will be given

* Using a Reach Truck and Counterbalance Forklift safely to load and unload delivery vehicles

* Ensuring all products are in correct locations to facilitate accurate picking and stock takes

* Be part of the warehouse team making sure all tasks are completed. Covid-19 protocols are in place

Initially this is a 6 month contract and for an outstanding Warehouse Operative there could be long term opportunities to develop within the business as they continue to launch new products, expanding their market, and further increase production.

Salary and benefits: £to attract the best, bonus, overtime, 21 days holiday + 8 bank hols and benefits

Hours: 08:00 – 16:30 or 07:00 – 15:30 Monday to Friday a 40 hour week
