The suitable candidate will have knowledge and experience of the below and demonstrate the behaviours and approaches outlined;
* Unpack and check goods received against purchase orders or invoices.
* Maintain records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.
* Lift heavy items and may operate a forklift.
* Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped.
* Post weight and shopping charges and prepare goods for final shipment.
* Examine, stock and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
* Prepare kitting packages for assembly production and customers.
* Be prepared to contribute to their own learning and development within the role
What will you bring to the team, along with your curiosity is:
* Experience in shipping, receiving and stores, reading, writing and basic arithmetic skills.
* Able to work quickly and efficiently with business system software
* As a skilled specialist, complete tasks in creative and effective ways.
* Ability to drive continuous improvement of processes and systems.
* A practical knowledge of Lean principles and methodologies would be an advantage.
* Work on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative.
* Understand implications of work and make recommendations for solutions.
* Completion of high school, vocational training or equivalent is preferred. 4-6 years of related experience.
* Determine methods and procedures on new assignments
