Salary: £26,000 per year

We are looking for a Children’s Residential Support Worker, to carry out waking night duties, who has previous experience of working within a Children’s Residential setting caring for those with Learning Disabilities.

This post is for a private company based in the Cannock area, where they currently have 5 Children’s Residential homes. The company specialises in the care of children between the ages of 8-18, with Learning Disabilities. Their homes are Ofsted registered to care for 2 young people and are currently all rated as “GOOD”.

This candidate would ideally have a sound knowledge of the Quality Care Standards that govern Children’s Residential settings and have the skills and qualities needed in providing the high quality of care to the children residing at the home.

Some of the duties and responsibilities held by the successful candidate include:
– Supporting Young People in their day-to-day routines
– Completing and maintaining administrative records as required by the home
– Providing a positive role model for the Young People
– Developing and maintaining professional working relationships.

The Candidate
– Candidate must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People qualification or be willing to work towards gaining this fully-funded qualification.
-A Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

Please note

Providing personal care will be required with this position due to the needs of some of the Children/Young People in our care.

This position requires work hours across 7 days.

Staff are contracted to 40 hours per week (£26,000 per year) – increasing in January and again in March.

The position involves working waking nights from 10pm to 10am on a rota basis.
