Job Description

Gilmartins is a family owned and run business; our staff are valued and our ethos is to promote from within. Our Board of Directors mostly started on the tools themselves so have a ‘hands-on’ understanding of the work we do.

 

We work in social housing providing Void refurbishments for local authorities and housing associations.

 

Gilmartins are looking to recruit a Site Manager who ideally graduated within the last 3 years with a built environment related degree and has 1-2 years’ experience of managing void refurbishments withing social housing.

 

The role is working across multiple sites in London and the ideal location to travel from is someone living in KT post codes.

 

The Role:

  • Responsible for the adherence to the plan, specification and Programme of Works.
  • Required to prepare progress reports, monitor Programmes.
  • Aware of cost and managing delegated budgets.
  • Co-ordinate all subcontractors, set and update work objectives daily with subcontractors.
  • Ensuring that all tradespersons have the appropriate material and equipment in order to be able to achieve their designated tasks.
  • Ensuring that the site environment meets Health and Safety requirements.
  • Responsible for the quality of all work carried out on the site whether undertaken by staff or contractors.
  • Client post-inspections.

  • Proven ability to manage social housing void refurbishment projects from start to finish.

 

Requirements for Job:

  • Full driving license
  • Experience of working in social housing as a Site Manager on Voids
  • SMSTS or SSSTS qualified
  • First Aid at Work qualified
  • DBS certificate

Hours of work are 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday with one Saturday in four required (paid in addition to salary).
