Position: Junior Video Camera Operator and Editor
Location: London SE1
Salary: £26,000 – £30,000per year
Benefits: Discretionary Bonus, pension contributions, 22 days holiday.

ROLE: 
Are you looking to break into the online video industry? 

They are seeking someone for a starting position in videography and video editing to be based in their new offices and studio in London (SE1). They are a London based award winning financial media company specialising in a broad range of multi-channel products spanning print, online, third party solutions and event mediums. This is a new and exciting role and offers a great opportunity for you to develop with them as they create new video based products and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
a) Work on individual projects from start to finish, ensuring top quality results are delivered within given deadlines.
b) Involvement in pre-production including story boarding.
c) Complete post production of projects including mastering, encoding in different formats and uploading to the web. 
d) Take responsibility for graphic and animated projects.
e) Work on creative ideas for edits on regular video columns and individual video projects to delivery top quality and creative content.
f) Edit all video content produced in house, including marketing projects, web screencasting and internal updates.
g) Research images, music, and video content as support material to video shoots.
h) Suggest updates for edit software, equipment and cameras as and when relevant.
i) Work under pressure, since the job will frequently entail editing high-quality videos under tight deadlines.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE: 
a) Experience in some of these applications: Photoshop, Compressor, DVD Studio Pro, Motion, After Effects, MPEG Stream clip, Final Cut, Adobe Premiere.
b) Solid video and sound editing background.
c) Shooting and lighting experience on shoots with a strong understand of equipment involved. 
d) An understanding of the online interactive experience and social media applications e.g. YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Google TV.
e) Knowledge of producing video for various devices e.g. iPhone, iPad etc., and interest in new developments and innovation in video content.
f) Excellent understanding of video compression and optimisation for web video, and a good understanding of audio capture and sound quality control.
g) Accurately archiving footage; attention to detail on all pieces of work.
h) A professional approach to work with high quality and consistency in all videos.
i) Brimming with creative video ideas. Proven ability to schedule your own time and to work to stringent deadlines.
