Salary: £26,000 per year
Our client based in Bournemouth is seeking a Veterinary Nurse to join their expanding team
As a veterinary nurse, your work will vary day to day, but you’re likely to:
º speak to animal owners to find out what the problem is
º take blood, urine and other samples from animals where required
º take x-rays if needed
º prepare animals for treatment
º assist vets during treatments or operations
º give injections and medication under instruction of the vet
º carry out minor procedures, such as removing stitches
º talk to pet owners about how to care for their animals while they recover
º supervise and help train animal care assistants
º keep administration records up to date.
You might also:
º take care of in-patient animals, for instance feeding, cleaning and exercising them
º hold clinics for post operation checks and weight management
º give owners advice about preventative care.
Cover some reception duties.

The ideal candidate will have
º Previous veterinary nurse experience
º RCVS qualified
º Have IV laser experience
Salary: £26,000per year
