Location: Hybrid- Home/ Head Office (some travel will be required). This is a national role, with travel around the UK and with head offices in Cannock near Staffordshire, London and Warrington.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be responsible for the development and coordination of the procurement project management process – including project planning, management of a risk register, the project schedule and budget model. In conjunction with key stakeholders, you will develop specific project procurement strategies, including project specific vendor selection (including scoring criteria), as well as the coordination and implementation of procurement contracts; measuring and reporting on supplier performance and lessons learned process.

On a wider strategic basis, you will also collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to build a robust strategy to meet the diverse needs of business partners, customers and stakeholders. This will involve category management activity and the development of robust supply chain and category management solutions – including identification and establishment of products, key suppliers and partners to meet the current and future Veolia requirements.

What we’re looking for:
Previous proven experience in a procurement function, preferably within an engineering or utilities environment, including drafting and reviewing written communications to deliver specific messages within tight deadlines.
Strong proven experience of building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers, including bid/proposal management and bid advice
Broad experience of advanced Supply Chain and Purchase to Pay systems and processes (Spend Analysis, eSourcing, eAuctions, eInvoicing, eCatalogues)
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously and to meet deadlines, with high levels of commercial acumen and be able to work with a high level of autonomy.
