Unreal Engine C++ Developer

Salary £48,000+

WFH 4days a week / HQ in Harrogate – 1 day a week.

We are looking to recruit a mid level Unreal Engine developer with 2 yrs experience.

Job Description/Role:

The successful applicant will use Unreal Engine to develop and create real-time virtual experiences for clients.

You will be responsible for the entirety of the coding of projects and will be experienced in taking briefs from inception to completion. The interactive environments you will be creating will provide multi-user interaction. You will be experienced in coding for multi-user environments, primarily using Pixel-Streaming within Unreal Engine.

You will be passionate about coding and be a motivated problem-solver. You will be a Subject Matter Expert when it comes to the development aspect of projects and will work closely with other teams to deliver and exceed client expectations.

Required Skills/Experience:

• 2+ years Development experience using Unreal Engine in a professional environment.

• Fundamental understanding of C++ in Unreal Engine.

• Some familiarity with Visual Studio.

• Advanced Blueprint (Node-Based programming) Experience.

• Experience using Pixel-Streaming including web-based player customisation.

Beneficial Skills/Experience:

• 3D Modelling (3DS Max or similar).

• Web development skills would be highly beneficial (HTML/JavaScripting/CSS).

• C++ programming skills within Unreal Engine would be beneficial.

• Client/Server Model experience.

• Knowledge and Experience with Replication.

• Experience of Using the AWS platform for multi-user integration.

• Organisational skills and provide estimates on project delivery timescales.

• Exposure to the full Unreal Engine product life-cycle (Modelling/Lighting/Materials/Animation

• Experience using Source Control (Perforce, Github etc..).

• Knowledge and experience using a variety of Cloud Technologies (AWS/Azure).
