Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV-Drone) & Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) Service Team Maintainer (Operator)

This is a hands-on role where you will interact with multiple customers and technical specialists supporting the delivery of a UAV/UGV service. You will operate aerial, ground and submersible systems, sensors, cameras and complimentary software and support the maintenance/servicing schedules.

Salary: £27,960 – £35,000 (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities of the role are:

  • Supporting the Team with the development of new and emerging UAV/UGV systems and associated software
  • Supporting the Task Manager in scoping, planning, and estimating future activities
  • Managing the equipment maintenance, servicing, calibration, scheduling and approvals
  • Managing and maintaining the UAV/UGV SharePoint (website)
  • Supporting the preparation and operation of the equipment

Whilst not to be considered a check list, candidates should be able to demonstrate some of the following:

  • Practical engineering experience, ideally combined with the use and knowledge of UAV/UGV’s
  • Experience of supporting small engineering projects and delivering to Quality, Time, and Cost
  • Basic understanding of complementary technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), 3D Mapping and Modelling, Thermography, Virtual Reality (VR) and/or automated systems
  • Strong organisational and critical thinking skills

It would be desirable if the candidates have the following qualifications, but a demonstrable interest in new and emerging technologies is essential:

  • A2 C of C (Drone Certificate of Competency)
  • GVC Qualified UAV Pilot
  • Electronic/Electrical engineering experience

Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the role.
