Unit Manager

Unit Manager – Bristol Airport – salary up to £50.4 PA + 10% bonus

Scope of the role:
*To take full responsibility and accountability for the financial and operational performance of the Unit.
*To engage, lead and support the operational team to achieve Company and Unit objectives.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
*Be responsible for all aspects of the business in the Unit
*Lead the management and optimisation of the financial performance of the Unit in particular, KPIs related to material, labour and overhead costs
*Promote and improve all aspects of compliance including but not limited to HACCP/food quality standards, Quality Assurance requirements, Security procedures (both internal and DfT) and financial stock controls
*Justify proposals/business cases for expenditure to improve the operation
*Lead continuous and process improvement initiatives in services, products and systems to secure maximum efficiencies and to achieve required standards
*Align the Unit with all Company/Division policy and procedures
*Develop and improve the skills of the workforce
*Build on and continue the relationships between The Company and its current customer base.

Education:
*Degree or equivalent
*Likely to hold or be working towards a Management qualification

Work Experience:
*Extensive experience within in-flight catering or a food manufacturing environment required
*Demonstrable experience of working to and meeting financial KPI’s
*Experience in supervising and developing a team essential
*Employee relations experience is desirable
*Management and leadership experience

Skills & Knowledge
*Strong communication, planning, financial and leadership skills in addition to demonstrable experience of engaging with stakeholders at all levels internally and externally.
*Strong computer literacy
