Transport Clerk – General Haulage

Transport Clerk required for leading General Haulage Transport company based in Manchester. Transport Clerk MUST have 2 years Transport office experience with a General Transport company.

The Company:

“We can supply all your Transport needs from single pallet to abnormal load movements. The group have a large UK trailer fleet and specialise in large infrastructure projects”
We operate approximately 300 vehicles within the group. We have a depot based in Manchester from where we operate 90 vehicles, including a Warehouse & Warehouse.

The Package:

£18K – £23K
28 days holiday
Pension
45 – 50 hours a week including occasional Saturday mornings.

The Role:

Supporting the Transport Load Planners in the day to day operation.
Liaising with customers and drivers regarding deliveries.
Inputting information onto the Traffic System.
General Admin and Data Input duties.
Liaise between drivers and traffic planners
Book vehicles for maintenance & MOT
Deal with Tacho infringements
Ensure all paperwork is up to date and correct
Monitor WTD and ensure vehicles are available for loads

Requirements:
2 years Transport/Traffic office experience ESSENTIAL
General Haulage experience PREFERRED
