Training & Standards Manager

Based in London Kings Cross / Stratford

£40,000 to £45,000 per annum

We are looking for a Training & Standards Manager to join our London division, delivering training to the operational team for a large rail transportation client.

You’ll be able to articulate the latest trends on developing workforce capabilities, skills, and competencies. You will have experience in learning and development programmes to support change and imbedding best practice in a complex and demanding client driven industry.

As a Training & Standards Manager you’ll be:

  • Developing and delivering bespoke training packages and operational competency training to new and existing Transport staff
  • Ensuring compliance with any relevant Rail specific training regulations and standards i.e. PTS
  • Overseeing the support and delivery of Apprenticeship programmes within the Transport division in conjunction with L&D and Human Resources
  • Continuous review of our evolving training needs and use of appropriate communication methods – email, workshops
  • Managing any primary and secondary external training partners, measuring and reviewing all training for effectiveness, compliance and ROI.

As a Training & Standards Manager you’ll have:

  • Outstanding communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in identifying and working in partnership with external learning and development specialists
  • Resilience and able to work in an organisation that is undergoing change due to development and growth.
  • Rail/ Transport industry experience is desirable
  • A NEBOSH qualification or be prepared to undertake this personal development
