Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per year

Our client is currently looking for a Traineeship Tutor to join their team in a field based role covering Kent.

This role will involve travel throughout the whole of Kent so the ability to travel and willingness to work in different locations is essential.

This is a new position to work on the Traineeship programmes currently being implemented.

Experience of working with groups of NEET learners aged 16-19 years either by training, coaching and mentoring on a 1:1 basis is essential in this role. You will also need a PTLLS certificate or equivalent as a minimum.

You will be working with these young people in order to support them into Traineeship programmes and then potentially on to Apprenticeships in the future.

Transferable skills can include candidates with experience and knowledge of recruiting Apprentices onto programmes with employers, employability skills, pre apprenticeship training or entry to employment (E2E).

Experience of working as a Tutor is essential. The ability to support the delivery of Functional Skills in Maths and English would be very desirable.

You must be able to work on your own initiative and be able to effectively organise your own diary.

Knowledge and experience of the Hospitality Industry would be beneficial.

The role
This is a brand new role working on a brand new programme which launched in October and you will be responsible for the delivery of functional skills, employability and hospitality units to learners on the Traineeship Programme. You will be supporting the learners to achieve Employability and Hospitality qualifications before they embark on a Work Placement in the hospitality industry.
This exciting position, within a quality driven organisation, will allow you to draw on your experience of working with young people to provide NEET jobseekers with employability skills and a stepping stone towards an apprenticeship.

Your specific responsibilities will include:

Delivering accredited training
Travelling to various locations and planning own diary
Actively marketing and promoting the company to support learner recruitment onto Traineeship programmes
Coordinating learners’ work experience, employer liaison and supporting them throughout the programme
Working to prescribed targets and strict deadlines

You will need a flexible approach, excellent communication skills, along with the ability to motivate and engage with learners.

Hours: 40 hours per week

Holidays: 25 days per annum + Bank Holidays

Salary: £26,000 – £30,000per year (dependant upon skills, qualifications and experience)

Benefits:Potential of a company vehicle after 6 months. Business mileage paid 45p per mile, Healthcare and contributory pension scheme
