Trainee Production Welder
Our client is an international organisation, renowned within its field for its excellent service and product innovation within the manufacturing industry. Based in Merthyr Tydfil, this company specialises in metal engineered products. It’s highly trained and committed workforce is paramount to the continued success of the business.
Hours of work: Rotating shifts 6am-2pm Monday to Thursday, 6-11am Fridays and 2-10pm Monday to Thursday, 11am-4pm Fridays.
Hourly rate: £26,000 per year, plus an addition of £26,000 per year allowance.
There are opportunities for the basic rate to increase with experience.
This is a temporary ongoing role.
An opportunity has become available for a trainee production welder to join the company. We are looking for candidates who are keen to learn and want to commit to a long-term career as a production welder. The role as a trainee production welder will involve:
Working within a small team
Working with materials such as steel, stainless steel & copper
Tig welding
components such as fittings and flanges
The successful candidate:
Experience of reading and working to engineering drawings.
Working within an engineering or manufacturing environment is essential for this role.
Previous experience working as a trainee welder is preferred.
