TRAINEE QUANTITY SURVEYOR – DISPUTE RESOLUTION

My client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor with a keen interest in law and specialising within the legal disputes part of the business. Full training and support will be provided.

Salary
£30,000 – £40,000 (depending on experience) + car or car allowance + pension

Role Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join a reputable main contractor. My client is forward thinking and looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to train and develop into a dispute resolution specialist. This will be part of the Civil engineering division and an excellent opportunity for a candidate with an interest and aptitude towards law and dispute resolution from a commercial stand point.

Day to day duties will include all QS disciplines with a particular focus on:
* Supporting the Commercial Manager on sensitive projects – disputes.
* Identifying/Evaluating/Agreeing claims.
* Early warning notifications.
* Change Management.
* Liaison with client and legal departments

Required Experience
* Degree Qualified in a relevant discipline, i.e. Law/Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management.
* Membership or working towards membership of a relevant professional body – RICS/MCIOB
* Main contractor experience as a Quantity Surveyor
* Civil Engineering project experience
* NEC contract experience
