Trainee or Certificated Enforcement Agent

Our client has exciting opportunities for Trainee Enforcement Agent to join their team on a self-employed basis. The role offers a competitive OTE of £20,000 – £25,000.

Our client is a specialist debt recovery and enforcement agency working on behalf of public sector and Government clients. They are committed to providing an equitable service in the collection of financial penalties imposed by Crown and Magistrates courts and other public agencies.

They are currently seeking to engage with trainee Self Employed Enforcement Agents across the Newcastle region to maximise the collections for our clients by providing a professional and understanding service, whilst taking full consideration of the debtors` financial circumstances and current situation. You will deal with every case in the strictest confidence and actively encourage debtors to discuss their case with us to find a mutually acceptable arrangement, whilst adhering to the Credit Services Association (CSA) and Civil Enforcement Association (CIVEA) Codes of Practice, aiming to provide a fair and open service to both public agencies and debtors.

Duties and responsibilities:

• This is a field based engagement where you will make home visits to debtors with the aim of collecting payments in full or negotiating suitable payment recovery plans.
• Achieving targets as per the Enquiry/Enforcement Agent Performance Agreement
• Delivery of Day to day problem resolution with debtors
• Making contact and confirm residency of the person residing at the property
• Skilled negotiation, maximise collections for the client and to help deliver outstanding competitive performance
• Ensuring that all the appropriate information is given to the proprietor/debtor
• Adhering to all industry regulation and legislation
• Responsible for your own performance as well as supporting a wider network of Self Employed Agents

Candidate requirements:

• Work well under pressure and to high ethical and professional standards
• Excellent interpersonal, influencing and customer service skills
• Ability to prioritise and manage your own time
• Good organisational and negotiation skills and the ability to work independently
• Target driven and an understanding of delivering against key KPIs and SLAs
• A full driving licence & own vehicle, with business insurance is essential for this field based engagement.
• The engagement is subject to a satisfactory CRB and CCJ check
