Trainee Investment Manager

My client is an Investment Manager who specialise in managing portfolios for Private Clients, smaller Pension Funds, offshore vehicles and retail Investment funds.

We are urgently seeking a Trainee Investment Manager, you will be responsible for pro-actively assisting in the Investment activity of Private Clients and the Chief Executive Officer namely undertaking and recording of trades, communication of Investment recommendations, liaising with Settlements teams, monitoring funds the company manages and / or interested in, monitoring companies holdings, monitoring news, research and analysis, updating financial models, writing research for the company and it’s clients, seeking and developing new Business relationships for the company and other general administration duties.

We are seeking a Trainee for this role, so they do not have to be fully qualified, if you are part-qualified this would be to your advantage. Ideally we are seeking to employ someone who is a Technical Business Developer ideally coming from Engineering, Pharmaceutical, Biotech or IT sector who would like to make a move into Investment Management, or a graduate trainee in Economics / Finance. You will have a strong educational background with a high level degree and strong A level results, coupled with strong Maths and English qualifications. You will be provided with a Training package which will include access to make you a fully qualified (RDR) Investment Manager.
