Trainee Field Sales

Our client specialise in the supply and support of business telephone systems and associated technologies throughout the UK. They have enjoyed a sustained growth since 1992 and are currently expanding in other areas of the telecommunication sector. As such, they are recruiting for a sales professional to help build their client base and show what an excellent service and product they offer to businesses.

Main Duties:

• The role is primarily field based but for the first few months will be office based in order to fully understand and engage in the product and business model
• To build a portfolio of customers that will be managed well and ultimately reap long term reward for yourself and the business by providing a consultative and first class product/service
• Be able to perform demonstrations of relevant telecoms equipment at a customer’s site and help the customer understand the benefits of the system
• Review possible opportunities to sell to a wider audience within a business and not just your own contact
• Attend training sessions when required and be open to further development, training and coaching

With this role, sales experience is preferred as we would like you to be comfortable speaking with potential clients face to face but it is not essential. What is essential is:

• Having a consultative approach with your potential customers and being able to work out what is best for both them and the business
• A professional appearance and being able to articulate yourself well, with the ability to communicate at Director level
• The confidence to present your product/service to your prospective customers
• The ability to listen, understand and retain information you are given
• A good standard of education in technology or science related subjects
• A full UK driving licence

• Uncapped earnings of: £25-30k in the first year, £40-50k in second year
