Trainee Accountant Experience Not Essential

An excellent opportunity has arisen within our clients growing and well established accountancy firm based in Solihull, Birmingham for a Trainee Accountant to join their small team. The role would suit an individual who is looking to train as an accountant or bookkeeper for an ACCA or AAT qualification. The role will provide an excellent training ground as there is exposure to a variety of clients in different industries and sectors.

Roles and responsibilities;
– Bookkeeping for clients
– Payroll
– VAT returns
– Responding to inbound client queries via telephone/email
– Dealing with the set up of all new clients including company formation, bank applications, VAT registration and ensuring online authority.
– Updating all databases with new client information or a change to client information
– Contacting clients over the phone to ensure they meet their required deadlines.
– Ensuring that the administration process are always being carried out as efficiently as possible and are always documented
– Supporting senior team members where required

The ideal candidate will have the following;
Part ACA/ACCA or AAT qualified but will consider candidates who can demonstrate relevant experience
Knowledge of various book keeping systems
Confident and have good interpersonal skills
Positive and enthusiastic attitude

Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work on own initiative

Excellent on the job training will be given and time off for study leave would be made available if needed.
