Trade Counter Sales Assistant

Salary: £31,200 per year

Working Hours: Monday to Friday – 7am start
Salary: Negotiable up to £31,200per annum + benefits

Great opportunity to join a successful electrical wholesale business as a trade counter sales person.

You will be an experienced professional who is able to build good relationships with customers.

It is essential that you have electrical wholesale experience, ideally having worked in the industry within the last 3 years.

And it will be a bonus if you have a driving licence for ad hoc deliveries covering holidays etc.

Your role will include:

* Daily accounting/cashing up/authorising of sales, and associated administration

* Support in all matters to Branch Manager

* Quote from spec and advise customers on plans, dealing with customer queries

* Assisting in the running of a busy trade counter in store

* Picking and packing orders for customers and keeping store shelves fully stocked

* Promoting the upselling and cross selling of products and bringing fresh sales ideas to the Branch Manager and to monthly staff meetings.

* Assisting in the training of new members of staff

* Assisting in the increasing of sales and reaching branch sales targets. Increasing the business customer base by encouraging new accounts to join the company

* Working with the team to ensure the branch and warehouse is presentable at all times

* Adhere to all H&S policies and promote these in branch

* Assist the administration teams with sales and purchase ledger queries

* Assist the administration team in credit control for customers over their credit limits

* Covering the delivery driver during absences a bonus, especially with experience of London driving
