Salary: £30,000 – £33,600 per year

Vacancy – Branch Assistant – Trade Counter and Warehouse role

Location – Shaftesbury area, Dorset

Salary – ranging from £30,000 – £33,600+ bonuses depending on experience

Working hours – Monday to Friday with Saturday mornings on a rota

Our client is looking for a good all round Branch Assistant for their busy branch.

You will be serving customers on the trade counter, working in the stores and responding to telephone enquiries where required.

Responsibilities

Assisting customers at the trade counter providing an efficient and knowledgeable service

Ensuring that the needs of the customers are dealt with

Handling incoming phone calls and Trade Counter enquiries

Processing orders and quotes using the company systems

Building, developing and managing relationships with customers coming into the branch

Ensuring all records, systems and paperwork are kept up-to-date

You will also help ensure that the stock and stores area are well organised

Skills & Experience needed?

Good general sales knowledge and experience

Manage, meet and exceed customer expectations

The ability to build relationships with a variety of customers

Good telephone manner

Enjoys sales and organising the warehouse

Friendly, articulate, customer focused

Have worked on the trade counter or in telephone sales

Experience within a trade sales environment would be a distinct advantage eg plumbers merchant, builders merchant or similar.

You will need to have some electrical product knowledge and good customer service skills

A driving licence would be an added bonus.
