Tester

Tester role for Global Finance Web company in Sussex

My client, a leading UK Web based Finance company who are responsible for a number of extremely successful high traffic global websites are looking to recruit a Tester to join their web development team based in beautiful offices in the Brighton area of Sussex. You will be an experienced Test Analyst and you will working alongside their web developers building software using Agile development practices.

Your role and responsibilities:

• Design and maintain test plans, test conditions, test specifications, test scripts and procedures
• Specify and prepare test data
• Test execution, record test results and test progress reports
• Log defects and produce defect reports
• Regression testing and re-testing of defect fixes
• Provide support to business users in the creation of UAT scripts
• Provide support to business users during UAT execution
• Contribute improvements to the development of Testing Processes
• Utilise test tools to automate testing effort where appropriate

You will need skills in the following:

• Experience of a range of testing types including functional, non-functional, regression, integration and UAT.
• Ideally ISTQB/ISEB Foundation level certification or demonstration of the equivalent level of knowledge gained through experience.
• Experience of creating and maintaining test conditions, test specifications and test scripts.
• Experience of test execution using manual methods and possibly automated testing tools.
• Good experience of creating and maintaining test plans
• Some knowledge of automated testing tools such as QTP, Rational Functional Tester, Selenium, Silk Test or Microsoft tools would be a bonus.
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office toolset (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Some knowledge of databases would be beneficial – SQL ideal
