Telephone Interpreter – Hmong-Mien (Miao-Yao) / Vietnamese / Thai /Burmese Freelance / Work from Home Are you UK-based and fluent in one of the South-East Asian languages? In this freelance role, you’ll work with the world’s leading language agency, to provide interpretation across a range of industries, including the NHS and the Public Sector.Perks of The Job Competitive rates of payWork from homeFreelance workSelf EmployedYou choose when to log in – Busiest hours of service 8am-6pm, with the opportunity to service global client calls outside these hours 24/7 The Role Providing Interpretation services to clients and customers with limited English-proficiencyAnswer requests and interpret real-time conversations both ways via phone call, using a dedicated application.Simultaneous / Consecutive Interpreting over the phone in real timeProviding accurate and complete interpretation whilst demonstrating excellent customer service, at all times Ideal Person Previous experience in interpretation is desirableReside in the UK and be eligible to work in the UK on a self-employed basisFluent in English and one of the South-East Asian languagesHas in-depth understanding of the cultural dynamics of both languagesYou must hold, or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service)Community Interpreting level 3 certificate is desirable.
