Telehandler

Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year

Our client is one of the UK’s leading specialist contractors, renowned for providing technically advanced and cost-effective solutions across the renewable energy, infrastructure and water efficiency sectors.

Due to the recent award of several significant projects, and a dedication to continued profitable, ambitious and long-term growth across the UK, our client is now seeking to appoint a number of Telehandlers – Telehandler Drivers to be based in Leeds, with regular local travel to various sites.

You will need to be very organised with the ability to multi-task, be customer and team focused, have good written and verbal communication skills, a can-do attitude, and a desire to succeed. You will also possess the willingness to work for one company on a permanent basis, and in return you will be rewarded with security, longevity and career progression.

The Role

* Responsible for all usual and typical Telehandler – Telehandler Driver duties

* Preparing sites (eg, flattening, removal of materials, excavation, site tidiness etc)

* Working with highly skilled tradesman

* Ensure help is given to the construction team across any area of site based activity

* Offer general support to sites and teams on site to ensure safe and timely delivery of projects

The Person

* Previous Telehandler – Telehandler Driver site experience in construction is essential

* Possess in date and valid CSCS and CPCS or NPORS

* Relevant knowledge of HSE legislation and first aid at work etc

* Pro-active and self-motivated, but know when to seek guidance

* Ability to work alone and as part of a team to achieve common objectives

* Always remain professional whilst on site

* Follow COVID regulations and wear appropriate PPE
