Telecoms Business Development Executive

Adecco Recruitment are currently looking for a Business Development Executive for our client based in Glasgow. Due to expansion, they are looking to recruit a professional, proactive, sales-driven Business Development Executive to join the team in Glasgow City Centre.

The successful candidate must have experience of achieving sales targets in a business environment, within an IT or Telecoms environment. Full training will be provided.

Main Duties include:

*Calling prospective business clients/resellers to ascertain who they currently use for their business telecoms/IT
*Identifying a sales opportunity, passing detailed information about the opportunity to the sales team
*Making client appointments for the sales team
*Updating our internal CRM system
*Assisting our marketing team with product specific campaigns
*Using Social Media (Linkedin and Twitter)
*General administrative duties

Skills and experience required:

*Evidence of consistently achieving sales targets
*Business to business sales/ telemarketing experience
*Confident and assertive, but polite, manner and the ability to work well in a busy and pressurised environment with minimum supervision
*Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner
*An organised and methodical approach to paperwork
*Ability to create a working rapport with clients
*Good knowledge of IT Systems – particularly, Outlook, Word and Excel
*Knowledge of social media best practice and latest trends
*The ability to use social media to engage with potential clients/resellers
*Self-motivated and proactive towards learning and personal development
*A team player

Qualifications
Any technical, engineering, IT, or telecoms qualifications would be a distinct advantage, however we are willing to consider applications from candidates who can demonstrate a history of high sales achievement and have a good understanding of social media.

Please note. This is a sales focused role which will involve a high degree of outbound calling.
