Steelwork Draughtsman

As a result of ongoing growth and business expansion, we seek an experienced Steelwork Draughtsman/Detailer to join our client, a successful steelwork fabrication company based nr Skipton, Yorkshire. A starting salary of £45,600 – £54,000is on offer (negotiable and dependant upon experience).

The successful Steelwork Draughtsman will use Tekla Structures software to model and detail a range of structural steelwork projects including steel framed buildings, mezzanine floors etc. as well as some secondary steelwork such as access stairs and hand railing.

Steelwork Draughtsman Duties:

•Create accurate 3D models of steelwork projects using Tekla cad software.

•Produce all material call off, GA & fabrication drawings, CAM data etc. from the 3D model.

•Communicate internally and with external stakeholders such as Engineers as needed in order to resolve any technical queries.

Steelwork Draughtsman Requirements:

•Prior experience working as a Steelwork Draughtsman is essential.

•Experience using Tekla CAD is essential.

•Have good communication skills.

•Have a good eye for detail and take pride in your work.

•Live within a commutable distance of the office location.

The company offers a basic starting salary of £45,600 – £54,000(negotiable dependent on experience), a rewarding career with potential for career development and progress.
