Technical Support Manager

Technical Support Manager / Cambridge £35-45K DOE

Greywood Associates are delighted to be working in association with a 5* Software Company based in Cambridge who urgently require a Technical Support Manager to join their fantastic Support team to provide both hands on technical Support as well as the management and development of the support process.

Responsibilities

* Act as key contact between clients and the technical team to implement and co-ordinate the delivery of multiple complex projects from initial client contact through to deployment
* Hardware & software installation lifecycle management
* User engagement ensuring the finished solution meets requirements
* Take a leading role in the technical strategy

Key Skills

* Strong Project Management, migration and installation skills
* Able take ownership of projects to time, cost and quality expectations
* Extensive knowledge of Windows O/S, Virtualisation, Networking and Server technologies
* Good knowledge of technical architecture for all infrastructure and business systems, including resilience, redundancy, security, scalability, performance, administration and documentation
* Knowledge of Python and other commercial languages desirable
* Experience working within a Prince 2/ITIL environment
* Experience delivering complex projects within the service industry highly desirable
* Exceptional communication skills able to explain technical solutions to non-technical people
* Experienced in 3rd line support with expertise in assessing and resolving escalated problems.
