Technical Platform Integration Consultant

Location: Remote / Officially Home office located anywhere in the UK (occassional office visit to Leeds 1-2 per month)

Remuneration: Flexible on experience, in the base salary range: £60,000 – £84,000

Our client: Our client is an international fintech software and SaaS provider with head office in the USA and multiple regional offices including the UK, Singapore, Malaysia and Brazil. Their focus is on technology for financial institutions and payment providers to manage risk in lending decisions. Utilising advanced risk management, decision management and analytics products for banking and other industries. With a little under 200 staff worldwide (30+ in the UK) this is a firm that is making a big noise in the market and yet still has a lot of growth potential and hence your career development potential in the next 2 years as they plan to reach 300 staff in 2022.

Your role: As a Technical Consultant this is a hands-on role driving the technical integration onto our platform. Working closely with a Technical Architect on core development and engineering teams to ensure new data projects are fully scoped and prioritised. This is the job for you if > you like to see a project through from inception to completion and you can take ownership for the quality of delivery, from initial solution design through to: build, configuration, testing, validation and ultimately into the commercially live domain.

The role requires broad skills in the following areas:

• Integration with source systems and configuration of API’s to 3rd party data providers: able to create well formed XSD schemas, XML document design and perform XSLT transformations. Previous experience implementing scalable SOAP services and WSDLs. Previous experience with RESTful API stateless architecture. Database integration with JDBC (desirable)
• Visual configuration of calling processes, data mapping and data transformation
• Elicitation of technical rule requirements and visual configuration of these rules
• Coding skills including JavaScript, SQL, scripted calculations and algorithms (deploying as objects within a no-code/low-code development tool), html (for integration with UI)
• Knowledge of message queues: JMS (primarily MQSeries)
• Solution design and configuration: Sequence modelling, synchronous / asynchronous processes, micro services, batch processes, error handling, auditing
• Unit and system integration, load and stress testing and analysis of test data results (including fine-tuning of solutions to improve performance)
• Product and Infrastructure testing: ensuring the integration deliveries are quality checked against the variety of end-user customer interfaces as well as testing across in-country, regional and global infrastructure
• Issues diagnosis and resolution – strong problem-solving capabilities. Interpretation of system logs
• Provision of advice relating to technical aspects of an implementation regarding the Provenir platform and supporting technologies
• Release management / change management / IT governance best practices. Versioning awareness and support of software upgrades within or beyond a project delivery
• Understanding of IT compliance, data protection and information security
Experience
• Proven track record implementing system applications

Education
• Degree level in Computing (or a technical / numerate academic discipline). If non-technical, then a career path in IT demonstrating longevity.

Remuneration: Flexible on experience, in the base salary range: £60,000 – £84,000
