Technical Facilities Manager

Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year

Description

We are currently looking to recruit a number of technically qualified Site Works (Facilities) Manager as part of a new Defence contract on a permanent basis. This will would suit a strong facilities manager with a technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Petroleum as the appointee will have the access to training and upskilling to become and Authorised Person in their technical field.

The Site Works (Facilities) Manager will have responsibility for managing;

· The day to day relationship with local intelligent client representatives and end users of the service

· Planned (PPM) and reactive maintenance delivery, managing principle and the specialist supply chain partners

· Compliance with the safe system of work and agreed health and safety management controls

· Directly delivered periodic statutory and mandatory inspections

· The contract quality and assurance regime, in line with the customer guidelines (Defence Infrastructure Organisation)

· Oversight and monitoring of additional small works activity

· Co-Ordinating and undertaking a rolling programme of asset condition monitoring/ surveying, supported by the asset management and technical compliance function

· Co-ordinating technical and contractual management information at a site level, utilising the contract electronic document management system (EDMS) and information management processes

· Undertaking/ supporting general facilities contract management activities, including task management, budget management and the implementation of continuous improvement objectives.

The Site Works (Facilities) Manager will use their technical/ engineering service knowledge/ background to support the above activities and are likely to take Authorised Person activities in support of the site/ area based safe systems of work.

The Person:

Facilities Management experience

Technical HNC/HND Essential

MOD/Defence sector experience (Highly desirable)

Authorised persons qualification (Highly desirable) Mechanical, Electrical, Petroleum)
