Location: Hertfordshire (St Albans, Hertford, Stevenage, Harlow, Enfield – Good commutes)

Salary: 40k-50K DOE

Technical Consultant sought by a rapidly expanding & award winning Software Company. Due to continued growth they are looking for a technically minded individual to join their Professional Services team. The Technical Consultant will be responsible for coordinating the implementation lifecycle of Applications to new and existing customers.

You will be responsible for:
– Managing the Software Development and delivery lifecycle to meet the specific needs of the client.
– Conduct requirement analysis with the customer through the means of meetings and workshops.
– Liaise with the client, the Development & Test teams, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of the software solution to match the needs of the customer.
– Coordination of interaction between Technical Architects, customers and third parties.
– Work closely with the technical team (Application Development, Integration Development, Testing and QA) ensuring the delivery of the solution runs smoothly.
– Post implementation, you will work closely with the Support team to ensure they are fully equipped to resume Production Support.
We would mostly be looking for some, or all of the below….
– Demonstrable experience in the Technical delivery of high quality software systems, preferably with Retail/POS experience.
– A thorough understanding of the Software Development process, including, including Software Development, team leadership, project management & co-ordination.
– Experience of client requirement analysis.
– The ability to stay focussed and provide leadership through high pressure situations.
– You will have experience of writing XML configuration and then describing this in a functional specification.
– Proven analytical and problem solving skills with good written & oral communication skills
– A strong academic background.

Desired, but NOT required…
– Educated to degree level in an IT related subject (Computer Science, Maths, Physics, science related degree.)
– Professional qualifications or certifications within IT or Project Management.
