Technical Business Development Manager
(Homebased Europe)
Salary/Benefits: Commensurate with Experience
Location: Europe Homebased
The Client:
A Family run business with over 40 years specialising in customized Resins, Adhesives, Sealants and Composites. Rapidly growing they are now looking to strengthen their sales force with a technically minded individual who has expereince in formulations and who can introduce them to new markets and customers.
Primary Role:
· Develop new international business opportunities
· Offer technical advice to customers
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensure the seamless and professional introduction of new business into the company, through robust communication of customer requirements internally
· Input into pricing strategies in line with business processes and ensure that there are regular reviews of pricing and material costs
· Contribute to the commercial strategy and annual budgets
· Keep abreast of market trends, developments and competitor activities, to ensure the business is progressing a pro-active development programme.
· Be responsible for the expansion of new and existing markets and the development of new product areas, involving customer contacts on an international scale.
· Produce regular customer and market reports, to educate the business covering any issues, recommendations and actions, which may lead to enhancing the quality and effectiveness of the product and business.
Person profile/essential requirements:
· Established sales person with a proven track record working with similar product ranges
· Strong technical background in resins, composites, adhesives and sealants, PU and Epoxy Resins are of particular interest
· Degree educated in a relevant field (polymers, materials, chemicals)
· Have an existing portfolio of contacts that can be introduced to the business
· Strong customer focus
· Self-motivated
· Excellent communication skills, written and oral
· Background in formulation of products.
