Technical and Quality Operative

Salary: £17.51 per hour

Job Title: TECHNICAL AND QUALITY OPERATIVE

Responsible to: TECHNICAL AND QUALITY TEAM LEADER

Main Purpose: Responsible for quality systems, safety, reporting and housekeeping in your area and the efficient, effective and safe completion of all daily work issued.

Main tasks and duties

Quality

• To conduct batch release and type testing in line with relevant British Standards,
• To Log, report and communicate results of internal testing to interested parties.
• To document, Identify and control non-conformities in all areas, this involves identifying root cause, reporting issues and closing out in a timely manner
• To perform batch release testing to the strictest times slots and standards when required
• Conduct quality checks in all departments on Staveley site.
• Conduct colour checks and complaint replacement checks when required.
• To carry out any resulting over-checks to specific requirements when required.
• Organise and control outsourced testing for both products and systems.
• Assist and organise returns procedure.
• Manage and maintain calibration system and calibrate any equipment as required.
• Conduct testing methods on products for verification and validation purposes.
• Assist with production of controlled documents, work instructions, SWPs and procedures as required.
• Assist with proposals and design of tooling and manufacturing or testing equipment and machinery
• Will be required to work in manufacturing areas when requested.
• May, from time to time, be required to cover night shifts
• Any other reasonable duties, as directed by the Department Manager.
