Team Leader Support Worker

Salary: £18 per hour

A Team Leader/Senior Support Worker is required to work within a specialist private supported living service based in Hackney, East London!

Temporary pay rate: £18ph ltd

Hours and length of contract:

Temporary (minimum 12 weeks) to PERMANENT
FULL TIME mixture of shifts on a Rota Basis:
Earlies: 07:00 – 14:30 / 08:00 – 15: 00
Lates: 14:00 – 21:30
Days: Flexible 7 hours

Daily Duties:

You will work within a private supported living service that provides recovery-focused services for adults with mental health, learning disabilities and autism.

As a Team Leader you will assist the Service Manager with the day-to-day running of a learning disability service, promoting a caring environment for service users through high standards of professional practice which are conducive to the physical, emotional, social, psychological and spiritual needs of the service users.

Daily duties include but are not limited to:

Assisting with management of the day-to-day running
Provide leadership and support for a team of support staff
Supporting each person to have a Person Centred Plan which is continually reviewed
To ensure that each individual has a circle of support and work in partnership with people who use our services, their advocates, family, friends and significant others
To support each individual with all aspects of their daily life that they have requested support with including:-
managing personal and household finances
accessing benefits and allowances
personal care
healthcare needs
domestic and household skills
To support each individual with their choice of daily activities
Coaching and mentoring staff and producing rotas

Person specification:

Applicants MUST have recent senior/team leader experience and minimum NVQ Level 3.
