We are looking for teaching assistants for an excellent SEN school in Worthing on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm.
£26,000 per year.
The school supports children with various special educational needs, from moderate to severe learning difficulties, to profound and multiple learning disabilities, and everything in between. You would be working with dedicated staff; you will be supported with any questions or concerns, and training or extra guidance can be put in place for personal growth.
Your role would include but are not limited to,
* Supporting children with Severe learning difficulties (SLD) on a 1-2-1 basis Assisting them to understand, learn and remember new skills and support them with adapting their skills to their everyday school life.
* Providing the support and care for the students throughout their school day
* Interact in lessons to support the student’s engagement.
* Take time to build professional relationships with the students.
* Work with the class teacher to help with classroom preparation.
Must:
* Have previous experience in a similar setting.
* Be highly motivated and committed to providing children with additional support.
* Offer outstanding classroom presence.
* Show commitment to safeguarding.
* Promote good behaviour in line with school policies.
* Be proactive, determined and understanding to each child’s development.
* Have a valid DBS on the updates service or be willing to obtain one.
