We are currently recruiting for a full-time support staff member to work on a 1:1 basis with Autism and speech and language needs. The opportunity is within a well-respected Coventry primary school who provide consistently good results for all children.

The ideal candidate will have level 2 or above teaching assistant qualification or experience working within the SEND field. If you are degree qualified, please note your application will also be considered and other opportunities could be explored as this school are keen to work with talented individuals. The school are looking for an individual who puts inclusivity as the foundation of all their care.

TA with 1:1 SEND experience – The role:

• Full time TA working 1:1 with different children with varying needs
• One child has ASD, and the other child has speech and language differences
• The position would be a fully immersive nurture role that allows each child to flourish in their education and feel supported with their differences
• The school are completely supportive of the two children and are dedicated to enhancing the learning for these pupils
• The role will allow for an abundance of job satisfaction
• Position is to start asap or open to January start date for the right candidate
• Regular CPD opportunities provided alongside access to 700 training courses that are both education specific and non-education specific
• The potential to work with the chid on
• Opportunity to be taken on permanently after completion of a successful probation period
• Competitive salary which is paid to scale dependant on experience

• OFSTED recognise the head teacher’s commitment to ensuring all pupils receive a good standard of Education

• The school has been fortunate enough to have new building work completed recently allowing for the resources to be new and futuristic in areas around the school

• The school has a fantastic reputation in the local area and has always achieved good results for all pupils, but it is specifically well-resourced for supporting 1:1 needs

Teacher – Person Specification:

• Level 2 teaching assistant qualification or above
• Strong academic background e.g., GCSE/ A Levels
• Strong communication
• Ability to work outside of the box and find new and exciting ways to keep the children engaged and settled
• Possess excellent behavioural management
• Able to work as a team with other professionals
• Passionate about education and making a difference to children’s lives
