Teachright East Anglia are recruiting for a Psychology Teacher for comprehensive secondary school in Felixstowe, Suffolk. This is full time supply role with the opportunity to go permanent if successful.

The School is situated on the beautiful Suffolk coast; a fantastic place to live and work, a reasonable travelling distance from London, Cambridge and Norwich. They are a inclusive 11-18 Academy. The School has a new state of the art building equipped with a ‘super-lab’, a number of multi-purpose learning spaces, performance spaces which are set in large grounds on the edge. In 2019 the school was recently taken over by a new trust which has already started implementing strategic & exciting ideas. The school is co-educational and teaches KS3,4 & 5 in its sixth form.

Ideally you will have:

A degree / PGCE / NQT status/ instructor of psychology
UK QTS or working towards UK QTS – NARIC & Overseas QTS will be considered with at least 1 year of UK Teaching experience
Are confident leading a Key Stage 4 & 5 class including GCSE level
Have good behaviour management skills
Have a genuine passion for teaching childrenFor this position, you will need experience working with KS4 & 5 pupils, an accurate understanding of the current curriculum, excellent subject knowledge in your subject field and up to date knowledge of the safeguarding guidelines.

You will join a welcoming, supportive, and popular department within the school. Benefiting from long term leadership and experience, you will have guidance from outstanding senior management.

This role is open to experienced teachers and those just about to qualify and will be paid on the MPR/UPR and to scale. TLRs maybe on offer to more experience’s candidates.

NQTs will benefit from a proven NQT induction programme with a very high success rate for those achieving full qualified teaching status. Your NQT mentor has taught in schools for over 20 years and has the knowledge to intrust onto future teachers.
