Tax Consultant

Salary: £33,600 – £45,600 per year

Personal Tax Consultant – About the Role

The individual will have at least two years’ demonstrable experience of advising HNW private clients on their UK personal tax obligations. The role will involve overseeing a portfolio of entrepreneurs, business owners and wealthy families, many of whom are UK resident non domiciles. The Personal Tax Consultant will prepare their personal tax returns, advise on annual tax compliance requirements, and assist Senior Managers with ad hoc income and capital taxes planning. You will be responsible for

* The preparation of personal tax returns

* Assisting partners and tax team with tax queries

* Dealing with HMRC enquires

* Some involvement in trusts and business tax

* Experience of IHT and Inheritance tax

* Exposure to trusts

* Ideally you may also have experience of accounts preparation in order to assist your colleagues on occasion.

The successful Personal Tax Consultant will have:

* Possibly ATT/CTA qualified / part qualified or qualified by experience with a minimum of 2-3 years personal tax experience.

* Knowledge of tax software

* A strong team player who has a positive and proactive attitude

* An ability to operate autonomously

* Strong attention to detail with a methodical and logical approach

* Able to process large volumes of data quickly and accurately

* High levels of confidentiality, discretion, and diplomacy

* Good communicator at all levels across the business

* IT Literate proficient at excel reporting

* Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
