We are a highly innovative, established, global design, development and manufacturer producing complex mechanical / electro-mechanical equipment. As a result of strong sales, continued investment both in technology and our people, we are looking to appoint a Systems Engineer to play a pivotal role supporting our R&D projects.

The role of Systems Engineer will be based within our smart, purpose built manufacturing facility, providing support our low volume, high value product range. As such you will have a solid understanding of hydraulic and mechanical systems design and qualification.

As our Systems Engineer you will be in a customer facing role and have responsibility for building strong working relationships with our customers through understating and interpreting their requirements to provide the most effective technical solution throughout the whole product lifecycle.
The role will be varied with key accountability for producing proposals and documentation undertaking hydraulic / electrical control design, performance analysis and computer based dynamic simulation activities. This will also encompass planning, defining and preparing test documentation and providing support to test such as troubleshooting of test issues. As you will be the main point of contact for the customer there may be travel involved both UK and internationally.

To succeed in this technically challenging role you will need to be an qualified to degree or commensurate level in an Engineering discipline with experience of complex equipment and an appreciation of stress, safety and or reliability, materials and design and computer based simulation techniques would be highly advantageous. Systems development experience spanning system architecture, actuation, verification, qualification and test is essential as are first class communication skills and customer facing skills essential.
